Mark Padgett

Co-Founder & CEO

Mark Padgett was the founder and CEO of eGovernment Solutions (eGov), a web-based software and electronic payment platform that provides services to local governments. Mark founded the company in 2005 and grew eGov across multiple states. In 2017 Mark partnered with Greater Sum Ventures (GSV) and began a GovTech rollup strategy, called Government Brands, that eventually bought more than 38 companies over three and a half years. Government Brands sold to TPG and PSG in 2021 for more than $1.25B and has since been renamed Catalis. Mark helped source and validate GovTech companies during the rollup. He was also a board member and lead the P&L for the “Tax, Accounting and Land Management” vertical before exiting alongside GSV in 2021.

Mark graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 2000, and earned his MBA the following year. While at LMU, Mark played for the Railsplitters basketball team.

Gary Kurnov

Mergers & Acquisitions

Gary Kurnov has two decades of experience working in private equity and M&A. He spent 17 years with Taglich Private Equity, sourcing, evaluating, structuring and executing transactions in the lower middle market. He has closed acquisitions totaling over $500 million across the niche manufacturing, consumer products and business services sectors. His previous experience includes Corporate Development roles with The Nielsen Company and Moody’s Corp.

Gary graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2003.

Sean Key

Co-Founder & COO

Sean Key has held various roles within the industrial and technology markets, primarily focused on product management, project management, sales, and operations. Sean has pioneered SaaS software solutions for companies such as Emerson, as well as managed existing software products for a vast majority of Fortune 100 companies.

Sean graduated with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and holds various professional certifications.
